Public DNS is a free DNS (global Domain Name System) resolution service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS provider.
To try it out:
Configure your network settings to use the IP addresses , first IP for Primary DNS Server and 2nd as your IP for Secondary DNS servers
Google Public DNS
Cloudflare Public DNS
Verisign Public DNS
OpenDNS Public DNS
Quad9 Public DNS
If you decide to try Free Public DNS:
- Your client programs will perform faster DNS lookups using Public DNS, but you should choose a DNS that responds the fastest depending on the geographic region in which you live.
- Speed up your browsing experience.
- Improve your security.
- Get the results you expect with absolutely no redirection.
P.S. Everyone says they respect privacy, but no one knows for sure if it is so … from experience, everything that is free has a hidden cost 🙂
